Art insicurities anyone? and Going to be away

Hello everybody! Firstly would like to have a word with everyone about the sweeping wave of insecurity that has fallen upon Deviantart lately. 

Have read many journals about people comparing themselves to others and completely freaking out over losing followers, or worse yet complaining about not being the most popular artist who ever lived then completely stopping their illustrations all together 8D FFFF! 

1) Don't compare yourself to others (it goes without saying). In our art we all have a huge journey to take to build up our skill level and bring your true voice out. Comparing your work to the work of another artist who has been through the stage you are at now is pointless and will make you feel horrible about your own art. Its helpful to learn from others to improve, but never compare.

2) When did popularity and the amount of followers someone has become such a huge insecurity to people? People come and they go it's nothing against your art and does not indicate that you're doing something wrong. Draw art for yourself, draw the things you love in any way you desire Art is not about making people love you, its about expressing what you have deep down inside and enjoying yourself.

3) And lastly to the people out there who are plagued with insecurities about being "unoriginal". Everyone is unoriginal, we all copy and mix our own concepts into the things we like. Even the most beloved artists out there downright copy from one another, though some are just better at mixing things up and making them seem kinda new than other foulk 8D

In short, Draw because you love too and be happy with what you have <333

So we are heading down to the beach for a camping trip tomorrow, and wont be back for a few days sadly. We probably won't have internet down there so RP's will be on hold until we return Tuesday  Sorry about that guys but will get back to messages when we return. 

BUUUT! while we are gone Paul can be in charge
Hopefully no one gets into a "unfortunate" accident :3 would be such a shame if someone had to give you a second chance.
