Hey everyone, since iv'e been asked this question quite a lot, think its about time we have a little talk about this subject.
Just to get it out there, i have no issues with people copying or referencing from things in my gallery, if you like something then feel free to play around with it, get a feel for the shapes and colours to improve your skill level
ALL artists copy from one another, we draw things we see and like, even the greatest artists have been inspired by something in their lives to get where they are today. Haha its ridiculous to claim ownership over a style or idea, since pretty much everything has been done before, and all peoples work is just a large mix of things they have seen and linked together to make something SEEM original.
Though they may be people who will attack you over this, they are just insecure and unable to admit they they themselves are unoriginal.
BUT its when you take this too far by tracing someones work with no credit, or taking someones character jamming a couple of extra stripes on it and claiming as your own, that's when simple "inspiration" can border into "theft" which is something entirely different.
if your unsure about anything, don't be afraid to ask, not going to bite you for learning and building up your artistic vocabulary, just have fun with it
Haha ANYWAYS! going to get back into posting concepts up here, after a long period of debate and advice from friends after a few incidents that have happened recently, will be taking an extra precaution when it comes to character designs
but will be jumping back into activity none the less
Thank you for reading <3 and have a fantastic week Also, mousies say hi
